The Swagbucks Video Apps in Focus: 6 – MovieCli.ps

7k comp - blog

Since Swagbucks updated the app this week, MovieCli.ps currently has some of the shortest clips of all the video apps.  For Android users, this is great.  Sorry iOSers, you still can’t add favourites.

This app is available for both iOS and Android devices.

If you haven’t joined Swagbucks yet, join now so you can make the most of this post.

Remember that this week is the qualifying week for the UK Swagbucks And More 7K vs 7 Apps contest. That means that during this week you have to earn at least 70 SB from the Swagbucks apps!

MovieCli.ps only contains videos.  This makes it easy and simple to use.

When watching videos on MovieCli.ps we recommend going to the 100% Star Wars or Justice League section as they have the shortest clips. On an Android device you can add the shortest videos to favourites which will reduce your overall viewing time.  Let the videos run until the app says you’ve reached your total for the day.

Currently, you can earn 10 SB from each app from 8am GMT (midnight PT) – 2am GMT (6pm PT), and another 10 SB per app between 2am GMT and 8am GMT.   Sometimes you may get bonus rounds, these are great and will add to your daily earnings.

You will often get ads between the videos.  These are normal and are how Prodege (Swagbucks’ parent company) gets paid and, therefore, how we get paid.  Therefore, there is no way to skip the ads or disable them.  Occasionally, an ad will have a countdown and then an X will appear.  You can click on the X to close the ad slightly earlier.  Some ads require you to click out before the playlist will continue.

You can see how to use MovieCli.ps below.

iOS

Unfortunately, Prodege removed the option to favourite videos on Lifestylz in an update several months ago.  In addition, they removed the counter that told us how many more videos we had to watch to earn SB.  Now there is just a bar that gradually fills up.

Many of us choose to run the Short Clips or Home & Garden playlist to reduce overall viewing time.

Android

When watching videos on the Android app we recommend favouriting some of the shortest videos in the 100% Star Wars playlist.  A suggestion is the clip called “Star Wars: The last Jedi poster – easter egg?” at 6 secs and/or “Trying to purchase tickets for The Last Jedi like” at 4 secs.
