It’s International Women’s Day 2022
International Women’s Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow, the call for climate action for women, by women”.
International Women’s Day was first officially recognised by the United Nations in 1977. However it was first celebrated in 1911, in Austria, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland.
